Aggie Ring Day Tips
Navigating Ring Day can be stressful, but hopefully this simplifies your day and answers any questions you may have!
In order to receive your ring on ring day, you must do the ring day ticket pull which opens up a few weeks before ring day. This is when you select the time to go pick up your ring.
On ring day, you need two forms of ID, like your Student ID and your Drivers License. There are a lot of people who attend Ring Day, so it is recommended that you show up a little early, as your time slot is only for 15 minutes.
One thing I recommend is to make a donation to the 12th Man before your ring day, this enables you to walk onto Kyle Field with your loved ones to take photos. This is, most likely, the only time you will ever be able to step foot on Kyle Field. It is an inexpensive way to make your ring day just that much more special. If photos are not as important for you, then you don't need to do this. It is just an option to make your day more exciting!
What to wear:
Women tend to wear a dress with either heels, boots, sandals, or sneakers for the shoes. Men usually wear khakis or denim pants with a button down or polo. Guests of the ring recipient still dress up as well, usually dressing as outlined above.
Ring Day Tips:
- You will be walking a LOT, opt for a pair of comfier shoes, or just bring shoes to change into.
- The Association recommends free guest parking with a complimentary shuttle. But the fastest option is to pay to park in the garage next to the MSC!
- It will be hot outside! Dress in loose, comfortable clothing and bring water.
- Make reservations ahead of time for lunch or dinner. With 45,000+ people in Aggieland, it is important to make a reservation if you want to go to a popular restaurant.
